A Saw Cut edge is standard for cut Acrylic/Plexiglass. Typically free of chips, it does not require polishing if the edge will be joined or otherwise engaged. Saw cutting results in a matte finished edge.

Machine Polished Edge
Machine Polished
Machine polishing with a diamond bit produces a cleaner finished edges. This method requires skill given the nature of acrylic, yields beautiful results but will have some machine lines.

Hand Polished Edge
Hand Polished
After saw cutting, craftsmen hand polish edges, sanding through multiple grits of wet-dry sandpaper, and finally buffing with polish. Hand polishing results in the highest quality edge finish.
